I'm 18 yrs old. Trying to do some programming stuff. I started in summer of 2013 when I wrote firstly some code in HTML and I found it quite boring, same as everything connected with website building. I admire those who build great sites but I don't like it. I wanted to do something which I can use in every day life. For example desktop applications. But I had no knowledge about which tools to use not to say that I had no language knowledge. My first programming language was Ruby and it made me interested in programming as such. As I progressed I was looking for Ruby toolkits to build applications until I hadn't learned that Ruby isn't really for that purpose. However I wanted to build something in Ruby and found tiny toolkit called Shoes which was a great fun. Still I'm finishing my app with it but I learned that it is quite unsuitable for distribution. Since then, I started to learn c++ which has lots of tools which could help me in the future. I find c++ even more fun than Ruby and I don't know why. Ruby is about simplicity while in c++ you have to do more things and understand more what is going on. Had I known before I'd have definetely started with it. Other than that, I'm putting my efforts to get to a good college which would hopefully be about computer programming.
